DNA Analysis

Family Trees, Genealogy and Ancestral Research - KE Genealogy

DNA is the fastest growing area of genealogical research.

Kirsten English Genealogy can offer an analysis of your results depending on what you are looking for. The most common queries are about a ‘missing’ family line where a parent was not known, or confirmation to prove or disprove a theory about who was or was not a parent.

DNA analysis can also be used to find an elusive ancestor from several generations back, or to try and explain a ‘surprise’ match.

DNA work still needs the traditional research to go alongside it otherwise the results are fairly meaningless. We can have a look at your family tree and try to fill in enough gaps to enable analysis of your DNA results.

We cannot be involved in research in the case of an adoption which took place in living memory. However, we will be able to advise on the most appropriate agencies to find birth families.
